Die Tiere stammen aus dem gleichen Gelege. Die letzten Jahre hatten gezeigt, dass in der Regel Tiere schlüpfen die größere Zeichnungselemente in den ersten Monaten und Jahren abbauen und oft ein Muster aus "Micro-Spot" entwickeln die ich als "Superblack" abgebe. Des Weiteren schlüpfen aber auch Jungtiere die deutlich weniger Zeichnung tragen und auch in der Regel sehr viel mehr Zeichnung verlieren. Exemplare mit den dafür typischen Merkmalen biete ich als "Ultrablack" an.
Viele Tiere verlieren auch teilweise oder in Gänze die Zeichnungsringe am Schwanz.
Auch Tiere die sich nach der Umfärbung zeichnungslos zeigen, also "Fullblack" kommen gelegentlich unter den Ultrablack-Schlüpflingen vor ohne, dass sie vorher eindeutig zu erkennen wären.
Es bleibt immer etwas spannend und nicht völlig vorhersehbar wie die Tiere am Ende genau aussehen werden. Alle Exemplare werden sehr schnell recht friedfertig, fressen stets sehr gut und wachsen in 2-3 Jahren oft schon zur Geschlechtsreife heran, bleiben aber dabei mit einer Endgröße von ca 75 cm recht leicht und deutlich kleiner als die "normalen" H. horridum.)

The animals come from the same clutch. The last few years have shown that generally the animals that hatch lose the larger markings in the first few months and years and often develop a pattern of "micro-spots" that I sell as "superblack". In addition, young animals also hatch that have significantly less markings and also generally lose a lot more markings. I offer specimens with the typical characteristics as "ultrablack".
Many animals also lose some or all of the markings on their tails.
Even animals that appear without markings after the color change, i.e. "full black", occasionally occur among the ultra black hatchlings without being clearly recognizable beforehand.
It is always a bit exciting and not entirely predictable what the animals will look like in the end. All specimens become very peaceful very quickly, always eat very well and often grow to sexual maturity in 2-3 years, but with a final size of around 75 cm they remain quite light and significantly smaller than the "normal" H. horridum.)
